This site was inspired by photographs dating from 1941 which were discovered in Maureen Montague's attic in Bangor years after her death. The new owner of her house found them when clearing out and by happy chance made the connection

Stories were taken from research and writings done by Malachy and Nora Mahon to whom this site is dedicated. RIP.
The hotel has changed over the years in keeping with the times, but retains its central features.
